Sweet Tales of Sarangi

“…world class production values and it's message will pierce the heart of every Nepali.” – Kunda Dixit, Nepali Times

Before his debut Highway, Rauniyar worked as a writer and producer for the BBC Media Action (2007 to 2010), formerly known as the BBC World Service Trust – the BBC's international development charity, in Nepal. He wrote, directed, and produced several episodes of radio dramas and made short films. Their team won two BBC Global Reith Award in 2009, the BEST non-English output of the year, and the BEST team of the year.

“It is difficult in the age of television to get people to sit riveted to radio, but during a preview last month, that is exactly what happened to us. The subtlety of the message, simplicity of language and depth of emotions left few dry eyes in the audience.”

– Kunda Dixit, Nepali Times
